Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar is the ultimate 90s industrial rock album from start to finish Marilyn Manson nails the concept he was trying to convey. It starts off hard and gets the blood pumping with irresponsible hate anthem then on to be widely appreciated the beautiful people and then the Heirophant cycle ends with Tourniquet. Cycle two starts off hard with little horn and then slows down nicely with Cryptorchid only to pick up again with Deformography and Wormboy. Angel with the Scabbed Wings proved good enough to be a single and cycle 2 ends again wonderfully with the industrial beauty Kinderfeld. By the time the title track Antichrist Superstar plays you find that you hope this album never ends. Unfortunately four tracks later it does but not before ending on a high note with the grand the Reflecting God and creepy but seductive Man that you Fear. Overall this album has everything. 16 non-skippable tracks that tell the story of a heretic rising to stardom. The album features one of the best lineups in the bands history with Manson at the center, Twiggy and MW Gacy to the left and right respectively and Ginger Fish pounding away at the drums while Zim Zum gives us just enough raw lead guitar. I find that Antichrist Superstar is undeniably Marilyn Manson at his best and the band's true solid masterpiece that will stand the test of time.
Gunos
An excellent industrial metal release from beginning to end.

It's a good album, but I like "Mechanical animals" and "Holy Wood" better. Best songs: The Beautiful People, Dried Up, Tied and Dead to the World, Tourniquet, Deformography, Angel With the Scabbed Wings, Antichrist Superstar, Minute of Decay and The Reflecting God. The raw sound of this album.

Definitely a super-disco, a great concept, great history, great MANSON...Fundamental songs in my opinion: Irresponsible Hate Anthem, The Beautiful People, Tourniquet, Little Horn, Angel Wings With The scabbed, Antichrist Superstar, 1996 Minute of Decay, The Reflecting God and Man That You Fear. Long live the Reverend.
Nuadador
Manson was at his best when he was conveying controversial but true opinions the world needed an outlet for through storytelling, and his artistry is at it's peak with Antichrist Superstar (and maintains it's level of genius and musicianship at Mechanical Animals). Through the help of Reznor, Manson creates an industrial, creepy wall of sound that no one can replicate, no matter how far I look, no one has reached the level of Antichrist Superstar where they can emulate the fast and hard punk (Irresponsible Hate Anthem) to the slow, decaying and paranoid (Kinderfeld, Minute Of Decay). Not one song feels out of place, and the pacing helps you relax through an hour of the embodiment of hell (which is a compliment by the way). Their use of experimentation and the formulaic aid this album to become the masterpiece it is always hailed as among metal and Manson fans. This is an essential 90s album, if only for the controversy it raised, so buy it now!

The album "Antichrist Superstar" is good. However, if you compare with the song "Dante's Inferno" and the album "Burnt offerings" Iced Earth - Marilyn Manson nervously smokes on the sidelines.
Skrimpak
Relatively standard industrial-metal, diminished greatly by Manson's unpleasant personality, tiring nihilism, and mediocre songwriting. While some of the hooks (namely those on 'Irresponsible Hate Anthem', '1996' and 'The Reflecting God') grew on me after subsequent listens, the faux-intellectualism and smarter-than-thou, better-than-thou, and- Though he doesn't come right out with it -Holier-than-thou arrogance likely never will.

I've only heard "The Beautiful People," and that's enough for me. The vocals are only screamed, yelled, or both. Marilyn sounds like Satan himself, the riff is stupidly simple, and the words are trash. It's basically saying that America is terrible. While I will admit it's not perfect, it's still a great place to live. Marilyn appears to want to not only reverse the liberal direction America has tried to go in, but even flip America's government system around. That cannot happen, and it's basically like listening to an angry Trump supporter rant on about how terrible America has become. It's a no from me.
